Volunteers - The Heart of the Community

Abstract - Every human being has a circle of influence within their home, among their friends and in their community that contributes in a positive way to society. Many feel that volunteering contributes to society in important ways, especially by improving things for the next generation.

Lesson Plan - Participants will identify the importance of volunteers in communities by applying the ISOTURE Model as well as determine the benefits of volunteers.

Abstract - Advisory boards “advise” the organization and staff. They help provide direction to ensure that organizations maintain their relevancy and continue to fulfill their missions.

Abstract - County government became known as the “grassroots government,” or the government closest to the people.
