Personal Traits of Leaders

Abstract - What are the traits of leaders? This is a question that has been studied for years. The first important leadership theories focused on leadership traits of individuals and were called Great-Man Theories.

Lesson Plan - Participants should be able to define personality trait, as well as describe and understand the Big Five Model of Personality and review common personality traits of leaders.

Abstract - Leadership is an important component of anyone’s life. Learning to be leaders is something we can and should aspire to do.

Lesson Plan - Participants should understand one’s personal preference (strengths) for leading others as well as identify ways to build on personal leadership strengths and determine techniques for developing weak areas.

Critical Thinking

Abstract - Critical Thinking means calling into question the very assumptions underlying customary, habitual ways of thinking and acting, and then being ready to think and act differently on the basis of this critical questioning.

Lesson Plan - Participants should dissect what it means to think “critically”and explore ways to investigate your environment and relate the decision-making model to everyday decisions.

Abstract - Today, we hear and see the word character everywhere. What exactly does it mean and how does it relate to leadership?
